I produce most projects that we do as part of the Writing Squad, but this one was special for me as it continued my interest in public space, cities and photography.

Six Squad writers Andy Owen Cook, Barnaby Callaby, Gavin Hudson, Steph Webb and Onyi Ekebuisi, walked Leeds with photographers Lizzie Coombes and Joe Stenson.  They then wrote, partly in response to their walk, partly to the photos Joe and Lizzie took.

The places were defined by West Yorkshire Playhouse’s Transform 13 festival, as they were all locations in which site specific work was produced.  The results were displayed on boards in the Playhouse foyer designed by Hannah Sibai , and still exist on this website designed by Ross Featherstone of Refresh.
